About Us

Empowerment, Advocating, Inclusivity, Creativity.

The Stories Project WA is a non-profit organisation that advocates for Australians facing multiple challenges, particularly those with disabilities or cultural and language barriers.

Our mission is to ensure equal opportunities, helping individuals overcome obstacles and live better, more fulfilling lives. We are committed to defending your rights, providing you with the knowledge and tools to self-advocate, and empowering you to make informed choices that open doors to a life full of possibility.

Through this work, we also support individuals with disabilities in engaging with political, economic, and civic spaces, equipping them with the skills needed to take on public office roles, create policy, communicate effectively, manage social media, and coordinate volunteer efforts.

Additionally, we nurture the creativity of CaLD and LGBTIQ+ migrants by providing platforms for creative expression such as idea generation, short film production, art exhibitions, podcast hosting, and film training all with an emphasis on advocacy and defending rights.

We acknowledges the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and their continuing connection to the land, waters and community. We pay our respects to all members of the Aboriginal communities and their cultures; and to Elders both past and present.
